"Два самых важных дня в твоей жизни: день, когда ты появился на свет, и день, когда понял, зачем." Марк Твен

Hi r/publicfreakout,

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted on this account, but I have been actively taking part in the community daily on my alt accounts. In the same vein, I have been very keen on how the subreddit has grown over the past 3 years since I created it. Beyond keeping an eye on everything in case I need to step in, I have largely taken a hands off approach to the overall management of the sub and have trusted the moderators to keep things running smoothly. I’ve noticed some worrying trends in the past, but they mostly have resolved themselves without my interference.

That being said, I think it is appropriate to open a dialogue with you all to check the pulse of the community and give everyone a say in the direction the sub should head. Some questions I thought of that may help spark conversation are the following:

  • How do you feel about the current direction of the subreddit? How about the atmosphere?

  • How do you feel the moderation team has done over the past year? What can we do better?

  • How do you feel about fights being allowed on the subreddit?

  • How do you feel about death being allowed?

  • Do you think the sub benefits from the influx of political posts?

  • If not, should rules be implemented to reduce them?

  • Any other thoughts, comments or criticism!

I’d also like to thank everyone for participating, being respectful (to each other and the subjects of the videos) and making this subreddit a good community and source of entertainment for everyone. I’d also like to thank the whole moderation team (past and present) who have put in countless hours for no compensation so that the subreddit can be the best it can be.

Thanks for reading and I’m looking forward to hearing from you all
