Newark will ease some coronavirus restrictions on indoor business capacity while maintaining a curfew on establishments in the state’s largest city. An executive order issued by Mayor Ras Baraka, which takes effect Friday, mirrored a move by Gov. Phil Murphy earlier this week to expand businesses’ indoor capacity limits from 25% to 35%. The city, however, will require non-essential businesses to close by 10 p.m. on weekdays and 11 p.m. on weekends. Murphy lifted his statewide curfew on indoor dining.
