Go ahead and get tickets to The Shed, a 200,000-square-foot modular cultural institution of the future designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro in the new Hudson Yards development in Manhattan. The new neighborhood is a little too slick for my liking, but I must admit that the programming line-up at the theater is impressive and wide-ranging — like a kung-fu musical with music by Sia and an elaborate Björk show in collaboration with the director of the Harry Potter play.
