James Corden Explained Why He Doesn’t Think He’ll Be Able To Do “Carpool Karaoke” Anymore In The Age Of Coronavirus

"Своим успехом я обязана тому, что никогда не оправдывалась и не принимала оправданий от других." Флоренс Найтингейл

“I think it’ll be a while before we’re singing in the car with anybody.”

It all started when Ellen asked James if it was true that new “Carpool Karaoke” segments would be “a long time away.”

CBS

“I think it’ll be a while before we’re singing in the car with anybody,” he confirmed.

CBS

“We can’t really think of a remote way to do it. It really does rely on two people being in close proximity, so, you know. That’s alright. That’s okay.”

Warner Bros.

But Corden had some words of encouragement for any “Carpool Karaoke” fans out there.

CBS

“I think we’re all experiencing those spikes of anxiety… Whenever I find myself getting like that, I just stop to think about the day — whenever that may be — when it is safe to go out again, and it’s safe for you to go out and dance around your audience, and it’s safe for me to get in a car with someone.”

Warner Bros.

“I think it’s going to be the greatest boom of joy we’ve ever experienced…I have no idea how long away that is, but I think it will be spectacular.”

CBS

Obviously, James and his team are doing the safe and responsible thing by maintaining social distancing right now. Still sad, though.
